Dubai Airport Operations Halted, Emirates Suspends Flights Until Further Notice

Dubai Airport Operations Halted, Emirates Suspends Flights Until Further Notice: Air travel in Dubai has been temporarily disrupted after operations at Dubai International Airport were halted, prompting Emirates Airline to suspend all flights to and from the city until further notice.

The airline announced the decision on Saturday, stating that the suspension follows a temporary pause in operations at the airport due to safety-related concerns. Authorities at the airport are currently managing the situation in accordance with established safety protocols.

Emirates Advises Passengers Not to Travel to the Airport

Emirates has urged passengers not to head to the airport while operations remain suspended. The airline said updates will be shared as soon as more information becomes available about when flights may resume.

According to the airline, the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority, and the suspension was implemented as a precautionary measure while the situation is being assessed.

Flexible Options for Affected Travelers

To support passengers impacted by the disruption, Emirates has introduced temporary travel options for those scheduled to fly between February 28 and March 31.

Affected customers can choose to:

  • Rebook their journey on an alternative flight to the same destination for travel on or before April 30
  • Request a full refund for their ticket

Passengers who booked through travel agents have been advised to contact their agents directly for assistance. Meanwhile, travelers who booked their tickets through Emirates can manage their booking online, contact the airline’s support team, or submit a refund request through the official website.

Keep Contact Details Updated

The airline also encouraged customers to ensure their contact information is updated through the “Manage Your Booking” section on its website. This will allow passengers to receive real-time notifications about flight updates and travel arrangements.

City Check-In Facilities Temporarily Closed

In addition to the flight suspension, Emirates confirmed that all city check-in facilities across Dubai have been temporarily closed until further notice.

Travelers are advised to monitor official airline channels and announcements for the latest updates regarding the resumption of operations at Dubai International Airport.

As the situation continues to develop, passengers are encouraged to remain patient and stay informed through official communication from the airline.
