Why Rockstar Just Delayed GTA VI — And Why It Might Be Worth the Wait
In a move that’s both disappointing and unsurprising, Rockstar Games has officially pushed the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI to May 26, 2026. The news comes after months of speculation, missed marketing milestones, and growing unease within the gaming community and industry at large. While the game was tentatively expected to launch in fall 2025, the lack of a concrete date had already started raising red flags.

Industry insiders have suggested that GTA VI is the company’s most ambitious game to date, possibly featuring dynamic environments, advanced AI systems, and a world far more reactive and alive than anything we’ve seen before.
