However, despite the broader rollout, the company has once again excluded the United States from the launch.
The Pocket 4P was first unveiled during the Cannes Film Festival in May and is positioned as DJI’s most advanced pocket-sized camera to date. Designed with professional filmmakers and cinematographers in mind, it builds on the success of the popular Osmo Pocket 3 while introducing new imaging capabilities aimed at higher-end video production.
A More Professional Pocket Camera
While the standard Osmo Pocket 4 targets vloggers and everyday content creators, the Pocket 4P is built for users who demand greater creative flexibility and cinematic image quality.
The most noticeable upgrade is its dual-camera system, allowing creators to switch between different focal lengths without changing equipment.
The primary camera features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, offering improved low-light performance and greater image detail. DJI says the sensor delivers 17 stops of dynamic range, a significant improvement over the 14 stops available on the standard Pocket 4. The additional dynamic range helps preserve highlights and shadow detail, giving filmmakers more latitude during editing and color correction.
